We went for Dzongri Trek a few days back
With a heart full of energy and overloaded sack
Eight people from Kolkata, few known few unknown
Those become a family, with every step on the stone
Eight days of Journey, Five days of Trek
60 km to walk, personal records to break
We conquered Dzongri Top, 15000 ft high
A glimpse of Kanchenjunga, snow in the eyes
The temperature was negative, the attitude was not
Clicked bare top photos, dare to live that thought
Woke up with ice, that touched the nose
Tents were trembling, cause all night it snowed
Rain and hailstone, snowfall and sleet
Lucky to experience all, including rainbow in it
Walked the journey back with roads full of ice
Few stumbled upon, we had to pay the price
Overall the trip was challenging and tough
I’m happy to announce that with a voice full of gruff.
